A contemporary housing proposal

that reinterprets the townhouse as

a vertical system. The project balances repetition and variation, creating a structured yet adaptable residential framework within a dense

urban context.

Positioned within an evolving neighbourhood, the building establishes a calm architectural presence

while reinforcing the existing urban grain. The massing responds to its surroundings, creating a clear
street edge and a subtle dialogue with adjacent residential blocks.

The project is conceived as a modular system, where each floorplate follows a consistent structural logic.
A regular grid defines the building, allowing for flexibility in layout while maintaining clarity and efficiency.

The facade introduces depth through a series of recessed frames, softening the overall scale and creating a rhythm of light and shadow.
This layered approach enhances spatial quality while reinforcing the identity of each dwelling.

Each unit is conceived as a compact, vertically expressed living space, combining the qualities of a townhouse with the efficiency of collective housing.
Private and shared conditions are carefully balanced to support contemporary urban living.

The result is a housing model that is both systematic and adaptable -a framework for living that can respond to different contexts while maintaining a clear architectural language.

The project operates as a system rather than a fixed solution, translating spatial logic into a repeatable framework that supports variation, density, and evolving modes of living.

The building is defined by a clear material hierarchy, where a robust concrete frame establishes structure and permanence, while warm timber infill softens the overall expression. This contrast creates a legible system, balancing weight and warmth through a restrained palette.

Deep concrete reveals provide passive shading and articulate the facade, enhancing both environmental performance and spatial depth. The timber lining introduces a tactile, domestic quality, moderating light and creating a softer interface between interior and exterior.

Some renders and schematic elements are based on original project materials.
